Catherine Klein, R.Ph.
CATHERINE KLEIN, B.S.Pharm., is Director, Education Development and Outcomes, with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists' Office of Resources Development. Ms. Klein's responsibilities include analyzing educational needs, identifying educational gaps, and developing the background and needs assessment of proposals aimed at closing identified gaps.

Catherine has been affiliated with ASHP since 1985. She is the former Managing Editor of the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, a position she held for 12 years. As Managing Editor, she participated in all aspects of the peer-review process, including selection of content for publication, communication with authors, and editing.

In 1997, Catherine joined the ASHP Advantage team as Manager, Scientific Projects and Publications as a full-time contractor. ASHP Advantage is a brand of ASHP that specializes in the development of customized educational activities to address identified educational gaps. Her responsibilities included coordinating and developing live and enduring continuing education activities for pharmacists, physicians, and other health care professionals in accordance with educational grant directives and budgets, serving as supplement editor, and coordinating/writing monographs, meeting proceedings, and other enduring print materials.

Ms. Klein received her Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
